What a player he is when the ball is played into feet. Outstanding close control and quick feet and in front of goal he's lethal. 47 leauge goals in 84 leauge games during over the past 3 seasons which is better than 1 in 2, in the air away from goal he's not great but if you play it into his feet he'll make things happen

Shame he's missed a lot of the season otherwise he'd more than likely be pushing 20 plus goals but theres always next seasonf or him to do that

Suspended for 7 games, machined gunned in Africa, missing 4 more as a result.

No wonder he's not been at his best, we all know now that his best is very good indeed.
He's back to where he was at the start of the season for us, scoring freely and absolutely deadly, he'll hit the net against the rags, you can bet on that!

He has been trying that move all season, that led to his 2nd goal. People think he is being lazy, but it's almost like a dummy jump, the defender goes up and before he comes down the ball is over both their heads and Ade is past him.

What a great player.

An absolute nightmare to play against, especially with Tevez darting around behind him. What would Arsenal and United give to have these two back?

Great finish so confident when one on one with the keeper
Not always. But he is one of the best strikers in Europe. has needed a few games to get his sharpness. Not been the easiest of seasons for him

I agree he's an excellent player when on form but to say he has excellent close control is pushing it, I'd say it's one of the poorer parts of his game. Watch Tevez and then watch Ade when they control the ball. Carlos kills it dead with one touch, whereas the ball often bounces off Ade, there were a few examples yesterday where he tried turning the defender but his touch rolled through to the keeper.

I'm glad he's back and scoring though, we really couldn't be in better shape for the derby, Tevez 20 in 18 league games, Ade 4 in his last 2 and City 14 in the last 3. If Bridge and Ireland are back we're only really missing Lescott. It's looking great, maybe too great? ;)

I watched Football First last night and i was really pissed off with Scott Minto. He said "He's only scored 13 goals, and that's simply not good enough for him. You expect more."

Listen Scott, are you aware of how many games he's actually played this season? 21 is the answer. 13 goals in 21 games. 1 goal every 1.6 games. So fuck off. Quite astonishing considering he was nearly murdered a few months back.

think you might be under-estimating Adebayor's ability on the ball. Sometimes it doesn't stick, but more often than not it does. Tevez has a really low centre of gravity and close control that can see him barge through players. Adebayor can beat players with pace, and ball control.

We've seen Adebayor in glimpses this season. At the start of the season some fans were questioning tevez, but he came good. Need to give Adebayor time to see the best of him. He can get better, and he can score some really great individual goals. As out and out goalscorers I'd take Adebayor, but tevez has a more all round game that means he can play in midfield as well as centre-forward.

Each to their own but for me his close control more often than not is excellent. If it's played into his feet it sticks and he has the ability to bring other players into the game as well as most strikers in the premiership. He did have a few bad touches yesterday but so did Tevez, non more so that when he tried to take a defender on and it rolled into the keepers hands but theres going to be odd times like that when they don't get it right but thankfully both of them at the moment seem to be making the correct decisions when the balls at their feet

I facepalm'd when he said that. It's a fantastic goal average. One in two is a great goal average which is only achieved by only the very best forwards.

Exactly. And he's BETTER than 1 in 2. We cannot ask for any more than that. And just for the record, Carlos is going at 1 goal every 1.3 games!!! 22 in 29 league starts. Can't remember the last time we had 2 strikers like this.

When his attitude is right he is a top class player. In his first game back against Wigan he had quite a poor game but his effort was there and now in the next 2 games we have seen the effort and end product.

Can't ask for more and by the look on his face he is enjoying every second of it.

He frightened them to death yesterday.

Superb player. Him and Tevez are hugely dangerous, as dangerous as anyone in the league.

Liked his dance in front of the North Stand. Quality goal celebrations at Burnley too. Looks like he's enjoying his football

Take away the pens and i think their strike rate is the same?

Cant believe a so called professional pundit came out with that, utterly embarrassing.

I would put my house on him scoring more than 20 next season

Aye he's quality alright, all of the comments are good ones, isn't it a breath of fresh air that there is light at the end of a long long tunnel, it's been a long time since I sat at the Platt Lane end watching us pulverise Schalke 04 in the Cup Winners cup semi final!! Just a couple of tweaks/ additions to this team we will be awesome!!
