QPR are about to bid for Adebayor.

Interesting if you're serious. He does like Hughes, don't know if he'd take a 'step down' like that though.

Can they pay £100k per week , no
Easily.

Won't surprise me if Hughes goes for him. Ade would go as well.

Re: Adebayor

This rumour is yet another spawned from the imagination of a teenager masquerading as an ITK on Twitter with a username that makes it quite clear.

<a class="postlink" href="https://twitter.com/ITK_TRANSFER/status/229170135062171648" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">https://twitter.com/ITK_TRANSFER/status ... 5062171648</a>

Supposing there was any truth to this though, you can bet it'd be a loan offer so Hughes can take the piss, but QPR are rich enough to cover a good % of his wages.

Re: Adebayor

Same old, same old, with Ade.

IF he was on a normal, sub 100k per week wage, and he was up for sale, a man of his talent would be a 15mil player.

So surely we should be able to get 5-8mil for the twat and then let him have the other 7/8mil to subsidize his 70k per week shortfall for 2 years.

I just don't get why more clubs aren't in for him, if were asking 25 mil for him then fair enough, but we aren't.

Just fuck off.

Nobody wants to pay his wages , nobody that he is happy to go to at least.

We signed a contract with him and he is ensuring we honour it.

We cannot even offload Bridge so what hope have with got with Ade.

Hi. It's my opinion that the buying clubs are fully aware of the fact that Ade will not ever play for us again. That kills his transfer value almost stone dead. Like every transfer window since this began i have the impression that nothing will be done with him until the final few days. He will end up going almost literally on a free transfer, whenever his move is a permanent one. I believe now is the time for City to cut their losses. Where we have wasted tens of millions on the Hughes signings, for morale alone we should just pay him up and let him go or at least strike whatever deal it is that will make this go away. His contract/transfer fee don't even count towards the FFPR's as far as i'm aware.

The problem is that Ade doesnt se himself as a 100k a week player he wants his 175k forever.

And seeing as we promised him the Earth & kissed his arse when he signed, then dropped him like a stone, it's not surprising he's doing his best to get as much out of us as possible.

But again, I've just answered that in my post, what's wrong with everyone?

He's got 2 years left on his deal with us and if we subsidize his wages by 70k per week for 2 years that is approx 7mil.

So Club X offers him a 4 year deal at 100k per week and offers us 12mil for him - completely reasonable.

We then give him 7mil and keep 5mil for ourselves.

Simple, but for some bizarre reason isn't happening....

Re: Adebayor

I'm hearing from Spurs fans that the hold up in the deal is an argument between City and Ade over a loyalty bonus and a league winning bonus. I'm not saying that is the case, just putting it out there.
