I don't like the casual football culture so avoided Adidas. do a bit of running in Nikes just because they are superb.

Not sure which is the nearest "major football kit brand manufacturer" to Manchester, apart from Umbro ?
Adidas & Nike both have their strong elements, but don't think of them as anything other than trainer brands.
I think Umbro, for football, beat them both, hands down.
City's kit history is entwined with Umbro, so sod the others...
