In the King's Head, waiting for the Queen's legs t
should no longer crop up on here.

Negative title? Maybe, but read on.

I actually think that's enough to win the tie. We will beat them at home no problem, infact I think it will be 2 or 3 nil. They had one half decent player, Neto. Other than that they are a League 1 outfit who wanted to continue to make a name for themselves. Man City were in town, afterall.

The reason my title is as it is though is because this current squad is looking tired, lacking ideas and is at a point where it will now look at stumbling home to 3rd or 4th, but certainly no higher and it certainly won't stomp home to 3rd or 4th. I think the PL this year has been unusually poor, and the fact we haven't been able to 'run away' with it proves we are nowhere near capable of winning the league, infact I would say we are 3, 4 or even 5 quality players away just yet, and the performances of late tell that story.

It's no shame we won't win the league yet, by the way, but surely now the people who think we have a chance must just accept we are a team who is 'only' capable of finishing 3rd at best, (which I will take with a huge smile on my face).

Aris will prove to not be a problem a week on Thursday.

agreed we will win, but expect them to play the same in return leg and hoping to sneak a goal.

personally would be more than happy to get a champions league place, but would love a trophy this season as well, but can wait.

were making steady progress, we need to be patient and the good times and trophys will definately come, im sure. ive waited 35yrs so can a while longer.

we wont win the league and we wont win fuck all playing like that

Just pit that performance against any other PL team and they could all do enough to have nicked that game. Pit it against half of the teams still left in the Europa Cup and we will be struggling. The only trouble is, put MCFC against anyone decent and the stops are pulled out. WTF can't we replicate Saturdays performance, four rested players, and a formidable strike force? Is it that this is City, after all?

We're not 'three, four or maybe even five' players away from winning the league. We are a team away from the winning the league. I still believe that the team mentality is all we need because our squad is SO much better than any other teams apart from our apparent inability to play as a group.
