Surprise team: Wolves. Was impressed with their general play last season, and they never seemed to get the results their performances deserved. But I like their signings, and they could do better than most expect
Arsenal are the story of the season so far. As the season started, we all expected Fabregas to go, but we also expected top quality replacements in midfield, and in central defence. Eventually they arrived, but they don't look to be of the quality required.
Spurs are the other team that have had a poor window. OK they kept Modric, but their squad is weaker, and who knows how he is going to perform now. I kept waiting for the usual Redknapp whirlwind, thinking that they were waiting for City to finish our business, but it never happened. Maybe they are financially stretched after falling out of the top 4, and they may calculate that it would be too much of a gamble to push the boat out for maybe 1 place that is available to them
I think Liverpool will benefit from the decline of Arsenal and Spurs
Chelsea have also struggled in their opening games, but Mata has the potential to invigorate them. They need Lukaku and Sturridge to produce because time looks like it's catching up with their old goalscorers Lampard, Drogba and Anelka. Whilst Torres remains in limbo
Still pinching myself that we wn 5-1 at Spurs. That was an incredible result, and performance. But we have a very tough European Group and somehow fate ? has determined that we play away in the Premiership after each group game which is a big problem.
