Given that The National is close to the Al-Nahyans I keep an eye on their football related stories. Like this one about agents. Had some comments regarding City in there as well.

Agents are probably necessary for the players. But the structure of it all is wrong. Why do clubs pay agents money. That just gives them the incentive to orchestrate moves etc for their own gain.
Players should be responsible for all agents fees. No club should ever pay an agent.

Only the dumb ones who have been closeted from the real world in some football academy that teaches them nothing more.

Clubs should have more than one player helper person, say 4-5 of em payed by the club to look after the players. As for transfers, a solicitor will do just fine.

Not always. I know it has been said by some that a solicitor will suffice but I believe if they weren't needed then the players wouldn't have them. They should be employed by the player.
The FA need to address this quickly.
