Aguero/Fernandinho suspensions

I wouldn't be surprised if Kelletchi is suspended as well, not sure how much he did in the fracas, but he was certainly in the middle of it, & am also expecting fabregas & the bloke that pushed Sergio over but to get 3 game bans as well

Kelechi was mad, but didn't see him do anything. No way he gets punished.

As for Fabregas and Chalobah - nothing doing. Both got yellow cards, they can only get retroactive punishment if the ref didn't see that and didn't react.

Seemingly at the discretion of the FA. They can always upgrade yellows to a red if it's our players that got them.

Depends on the refs report & if he says he booked Fabregas for striking an opponent even the FA would have to demote him

We did ok without a striker when we played all midfielders (incl Lampard) a few seasons back.

This will provide new opportunities for players, it's why we have one of the best squads in the league.

Every week I read a match report or an opinion that a Chelsea player was lucky to stay on the pitch (Luiz against the Rags springs to mind, and at least two occasions for Costa).

Chelsea play on the edge, spoiling, time wasting, and constantly niggling their opponents. There were 4 occasions yesterday when the game was stopped for a mysterious injury, nowhere near the ball, only for the poleaxed player to somehow make a Lazarus-style recovery once the City momentum had slowed.

Leicester were equally clever last season, and there’s obviously an Italian influence.

In contrast City suffer red cards for headbutting when we’re winning 4-0. In fact, regardless of one of the worst refereeing performances that I’ve ever witnessed, we’re rapidly acquiring a reputation as petulant soft arses.

Waiting for Sky to ramp up the pressure on the premier league for Aguero's "worst foul ever seen" one of the lower league players got ten games recently for excessive violence , the bandwagon will start tomorrow on Sunday Supplement and the red tops will be in full swing , maybe a public hanging will suffice

Hanging won't be enough for some of them, they will want him drawn and quartered, and the quarters displayed at each corner of Wembley!

It's clear to me. He didn't score yesterday and didn't contribute an assist. In 10 of the last 13 games he has not scored and has not had an assist. So his contribution is nil. He's a striker that is not in form. So my point is he's not going to be greatly missed.

I just love the anger and frustration they both showed, if I'd have been on that pitch today with that referee and the fucking lady boy they'd have needed a taser and handcuffs to stop me laying one of the ****s out. Just disappointed a few more didn't get stuck in and start handing it out.

Never seen so many City players on so many occasions question the ref. At HT I had visions of two of the three questioning Tit Taylor getting a yellow and then a second on the way to the tunnel.

I will never believe in a month of CL matches that had Stones or Ottomendi barged Costa to the ground like Sideshow Bob did to Sergio they wouldn't have been carded one way or the other. We are constantly brought to book for sheer bloody nonsense from referees whilst very similar infringements from oppos don't even turn up a free kick.

I cannot believe either that Tit Taylor would see that abysmal performance, register it as one of his best and a model of even-handedness. But some will!

But I always think that his return to form would have been through the four games he's gonna miss! Sods' Law!

They will both get hammered we all know that. Aguero because in their eyes it is his second violent conduct act in a couple of months, though we all know the first was debatable to say the least. Fernandinho for grabbing that sly wanker by the throat twice and supposedly pushing him over the advertising hoardings, but as Sutton said he should get a job acting on coronation street. More though, much more than this they will get hammered because they are City players. Sky will be running both incidents in slow motion 24/7 and trotting out lots of 'experts' to say how it was a disgrace, Aguero's was the worst tackle ever seen since football was invented and so on. In fact Sutton has already said it was the worst tackle he had seen....he obviously missed Kean's on Haland then?

Something though is wrong with our discipline and our players have to be more professional, this is what they are paid mega bucks for. To get involved in shit like this when the game was lost just rubs salt into the wounds and hurts nobody but ourselves.

I'm looking forward to seeing how we do without Aguero. I'm one of those who thinks he's on a downward curve and we need to start planning for a life after him. Yes he's a legend and we've been over reliant on him for years but when we needed him to be sharp and clinical in a big game he just didn't deliver. Time for the others to step up and start contributing goals. Probably see more of Kelechi, Fernando, Garcia and Yaya to plug the gaps of both our missing players.

Sergio scored against Boro in our last league home game. Before today he was joint leading prem goal scorer, like he has been top two or three for the last few seasons. One of the best strike rates in Europe if not worldwide and you reckon we won't miss him for 4 games? Give your head a wobble ffs!
I know. He will be sorely missed, especially against Arsenal.

He's wrong anyway, I can think of him setting gundo against WBA off the top of my head.
