Ake could shine there mate, he is still young and can learn a lot from Pep, Pep convert lahm to one of the best DM's and this was with Lahm having no prior knowledge or experience in that posting so why not Ake?

An old dinho? An immobile Rodri? Gundo as a DM? the DM position is probably the most open position in the team at the moment, if you fight hard enough you get the spot for yourself, there's going to be a lot of competition for that spot and if Ake gets a chance there and shines then that's that. Its up to Rodri to step up this season, I see Ake getting game time in that position and excelling if Rodri doesn't improve his mobility and awareness. What we have there right now are just numbers, not the exact quality needed and if Ake turns out to be a utility player and puts in an above average performance regularly in the DM position then that's an added advantage

I swear I read rumours about him joining the squad in Lisbon for CL games after the Real game with a view of maybe playing vs Lyon or later stages.He was not with the squad in the end tho.

How he went from there to not be fully fit for 1-2 more months? Possible injury setback?

He's been training on his own. he hasn't been involved in pre-season training. It was obvious that he was at least 2-3 weeks away. The surprise is we go from that type of time scale to 1 to 2 months.

Ake could play as a DM, if we get that Kounde kid, he could also play as a DM, I think these type of utility player signings are significant to Pep's style of play.

Does the heart sign appear as red on your browser? it always appears blue when I am on bluemoon. I wouldn't be so caught up on colours anyway, after all we have had some red on our kit every now and then.

Despite scoring lots of goals we have been crying out for another natural finisher which was highlighted in the big games.

Playing the Gun Dog or Sterling up front is useless, and Jesus isn't the right player to lead the line every week with no other options.

We don't nee a £50m plus player, half decent centre forward. A Pukki or Wilson type.

City will create loads of chances. We have Sterling, and Jesus up front. They are electric and can terrorise defences.
The problem is that City start the season with two right sided central defenders in Stones who was passed over for Fernandinho, and Garcia who wants to go to Barcelona. Instead of waiting for Messi we should have addressed that.
