It is not ridiculous. As I said we treat our players properly and Sergio decides when he leaves. The problem is that we won’t be paying £100 million plus for a forward to come in and play second fiddle.Come on now that is just ridiculous. How can we blame players for our lack of transfer activity because they have set a bar that is difficult to fill or because they won't apparently just do the right thing and go? (which seems to be what people are asking for) We offered them renewals, don't forget that.
It’s not about the player, it is how the club operates. We have a tendency to keep hold of our best a little too long.
All I am saying is that the big name Sergio replacement won’t happen until he has gone. The lack of a clinical finisher is all too evident at present and always rears it’s head when Sergio is injured.
Soo good to see the man back training.
