Aguero injures hamstring on international duty

Devastating blow for player, club and fans just when he had run into form. Now we have to go through rehab then a month of games before he's back to his best.

Dont know whether its just me but i feel our team is too lenient when it comes to the release of players for international duty. The club was fully aware sergio wasnt 100% but still let him go and now there goes our serge!!!!!! F*cking international breaks.
We don't have a choice. Clubs have to release players to their national sides for competitive games. Even if we claim a player is injured, the country can get the player assessed by their own medical people. That's my understanding of the situation anyway.

So on the same day that rooney gets withdrawn from the england squad with what hodgson describes as a very minor knock and in the same interview says that the main importance is that rooney is fit for the next utd game at weekend this happens to aguero.......we are doing something wrong as a club as far as releasing players for internationals or qt least in the pressure we put in managers not to play them....

This was completely predictable and the same could happen with kompany if he plays

We now have to rely on bony which lets be honest completely weakens our attack and qll around play.

For me this is bonys last sustained chance to impress as he has completely failed to do so so far

Unfortunately the county can demand a player turns-up injured or not.
Straight after the game on Saturday he flew, no good for muscles in cabin with lower oxygen coupled with a resticted movement and the fact he had just played, this is crazy he should have been told that he needed treatment and would be relased if the club felt it was ok for him to fly and be fit to play, the club should have the final say.

Amazing that two rags are unfit for Team FA bet they are fit for the Rag's next game

Apparently rags are looking at bidding for Mane in January, after he terrorised the Chelsea defence. Will this injury effect our January transfer policy?

I suppose the only good thing we take from this is the rags will have a false sense of security, we are still quite capable of hammering them, with Kev, dave and rah rah running at em

Depressingly correct.

So pissed off. It's all very well and good us aportioning blame to the club for letting him play, but surely the player has to take some responsibility here and say "I'm not right, don't play me". Or am I being naive????

Arrrghhhhhhhh

Friday ruined and it's not even 7.30am

This sums it up

Having seen it I reckon he will be back in under 4 weeks.

But as someone has already said it's the combined physical and psychological effects of all these injuries that concerns me. Kun is a brilliant player but he seems to have problems reaching his highest level and when he does he generally gets injured soon after.

Anyway step up Mr. Bony, time to become a City hero.
