I know this thread must be a parody.

Romario all day. Both are different players IMO. Style wise. Same position. Romario off ball position was the best there. As in he knew where the goal was without even looking up.

I grew up watching Romario very closely. The guy was a phenomenal player. For me, i will always say this. One on one with the keeper, Romario will tuck it past 100 out of 100. Proven both club and international level. 1000 goals in total.
this. he was a genius .

Can’t really disagree other than Daniel day Lewis had a better left foot than him..

Romario, a bit like Pele played most of his career in leagues where judging just how good a player he was is difficult.

What he achieved at international level is outstanding. However, 4 League titles in Europe with 3 of them coming in Holland makes comparing him with players such as Sergio and countless others who've won multiple titles, over long periods and in far more challenging leagues difficult.

He's also got 6 kids and 3 failed marriages, not to mention he's involved in politics so he's clearly a wrong un.

Admittedly my only real experience of watching him play are for Barcelona in the Champions League and of course the 1994 World Cup. He was outstanding.

Not fit to lace Our Serg's boots though

Who remembers that European game when they smashed United like 4 nil? Romario was on fire that night. Palister n Bruce were all over the shop.

1994. Romario and Stoichkov destroyed the rags.

Romario was a phenomenal player, as good at his best as the real Ronaldo.

Jeez, give the man time to put his carriage clock on the mantleplace before starting threads on players who might have been better!!

Answer is Sergio of course - though I did really really enjoy watching Romario do his thing.
