Yep.

And Paul, no I am not twelve as I can read and understand the 20 year old poster's point of view without recourse to trying to "appear" more informed and superior (of which note you failed).

Leeds are a medium sized club by the way. Unless you consider there to be neigh on 20 "big clubs" in which case the definition needs redefining in itself. As any informed football fan could tell you (see, it's easy this).

Come on fella, Leeds are still a big club, same as we were when we plumbed the depths just over a decade or so back.

I'd still rate them above many teams that are in the Premier League, including West Brom, Sunderland, Norwich, Swansea, Stoke, Wolves... who is your 20?!
That's another thread. Though by definition, I would say there are only a dozen or so "big clubs" or the definition is meaningless.

Genuinely, when you haven't grown up watching them win things, they aren't a big club to you. I've watched them fluke a champs league title because they didn't concentrate on the league, and that's it. Better than what we've won in my lifetime, but we're finishing higher than them now.

To be honest I kind of feel the same, growing up with 90s football, Liverpool being an upper-mid-table team always pretty much seemed like the natural order of things to me, I never thought of them as this huge club. When you're a kid you don't have, or care for, 'historical context' in football.

Liverpool and it's fans are living on past glories. They believe themselves to be the custodians of football, still after all these years. The recent comments they are levelling at city regarding players coming in are ill informed as they did the same thing themselves. I fimd tjeir whole club showered in hypochricy, custodians of football, a beacon of how things should be done? Liverpool football club almost destroyed English football by their actions.

-- Tue Aug 02, 2011 9:48 am --

Liverpool and it's fans are living on past glories. I wouldn't say Leeds are bigger than Wolves or Sunderland. Both clubs have won more than Leeds.

I would say pre-season Exhibition Game, not friendly! For decades if it was a draw it was shared, not exactly a serious competitive game that is it?

Would Wolves and Sunderland have an average away attendance of 3,500 in the championship like Leeds did last season though? Sunderland probably would, but doubt Wolves would.

Leeds are a big club, not just for the stuff they've won, but fanbase wise. Any club that takes 4000+ to a League 1 away game regularly has to be classed as a big club.

Liverpool fans are the most arrogant and deluded in football.

They're obsessed with history and living in the past because let's face it, at the moment they're shite. Worse than the rags for slagging off City. What they forget is their precious "history" all came in the space of about 20 years.

City won the FA Cup, League Cup and a European trophy long, long before those scouse wankers

Come off it mate, its takes a lot more than just luck to win it, credit were credit is due eh?

I'll give them credit when they admit Carroll was a shit buy. £35 million and less goals than the 'flop' Dzeko.
