"I am almost ruled out," Aguero said, according to EFE. "The doctors say this is a very tricky injury.

"I am sorry that this is happening in this good moment I am going through at Manchester City, I was hopeful of at least getting to play the Venezuela match, but the doctors have told me they will not take risks."

Good to see both the player, club and country are looking after his health. Sounds like he'll take the next 9 days and try to get fit before a very big week.

It will be fine. He will I've plenty of rest and come back to score a hat trick in the derby!!

Since when did we ever have a quick come-back from an injury? NDJ for example was supposed to be just a knock. Does anybody really think that Balotelli will make a quick recovery from a back problem? I reckon we will be down to 1 striker in the next week and I hope it isn't Tevez. Forever the eternal optimist! Come on Edin!!

A groin injury is very difficult to treat and it can re-occur in weeks, months or even years. Steven Gerrard has been plagued by this injury for several years. With Balo's current back and previous knee injuries we could be very stretched for strikers.

“During the Copa America he [Zabaleta] kept asking me if I was coming or not, every day. And when I could tell him that I was, he was really happy,” he says.

“He comes round to my house every couple of days with his girlfriend, or we go to their house. He is really happy in Manchester.”

thanks zab
