Albanian Football - Vllaznia

Heading to see them play my local team ( Sligo Rovers ) in the Europa Cup in a few weeks time.

They are based in North Albania in a place called "Shkodër". Anyone been there, or know the best way of getting there?

when i went to watch england in tirana,we flew to italy with ryanair then got ferry overand train to the capital.this was a mission but was relatively cheap.i think it was bari we flew into.
it was a few years ago and i will need to have a proper think how we did it,but i hope that helps.

the ferry goes from either bari 9 hrs and ancona 20 hrs and trains go to shkodra twice daily according to my old lonel planet.
the albanians were friendly up to the kick off and then changed intoblood thirsty maniacs but its all part of the adventure eh!

shkroder has a lake and is quite pretty although no decent facilities for tourists, best resort over there is the port of durres , has a nice beach

Sorry..what port in Andorra to the ferries go to?

ancona to durres. ancona is in italy and ryanair fly there or did from stansted,not sure from your part of the world.

not sure about a train to skhoder, maybe a horse n cart...
