Man City could beat Barcelona to signing of Spanish wonderkid

" Manchester City are reportedly battling Barcelona for the signature of Spanish wonderkid Alberto Moleiro who has been dubbed 'the new Pedri'.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder currently plays for Las Palmas in Spain's second division but he is expected to be leaving the club this summer. According to HITC as per Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have reportedly offered £10m for the player but the deal is far from done and Manchester City are interested in bringing the starlet to the Premier League.

City will be bolstered by Barcelona's recent activity in the transfer market as the Spanish giants may find it difficult to match Las Palmas' asking price after such heavy spending elsewhere. A combination of City's track record in developing young talent and Pep Guardiola's appeal could see the Tenerife-born Moleiro make the move to Manchester this summer. "

Maybe.....we give McAtee an opportunity rather than throw 10m at a kid that doesn't appear to have any greater talent.
This kid is very pacey and would be perfect on the left wing. McAtee plays through the middle (a bit like Bernardo) and Palmer plays from the right so I don't see the problem, it works with the clubs policy of having two players for each position. If anything the competition would bring the best out of these youngsters.

Looks decent. But if he is one of those who'd want to go back to Barcelona as soon as they've played 3 games, then pass!

I
Tie him down to a 7 year contract.
