Forgetting popularity, sales , artists longevity etc is their an album that you continually come back to because each an every track either on its own or as a collective takes you through all the emotions known to mankind.

These are the albums that you would most likely come back to time and again regardless of your mood at the time.

As hard it is to achieve each track is one that you would think would stand out on its own even though no album would consist of songs that each one is a classic on its own in terms of the effect it has on you which by an large is the measure of its greatness.

The latest War On Drugs album is like this. After listening to it all the way through I felt like I'd been taken on a journey through an epic musical, and emotional landscape. To me the album will always remain the true expression of a musician's art - despite the shuffle/mp3 generation.

Deadwing by Porcupine Tree.

Lazarus is the most beautiful song ever written.

Stacked Up by Senser. Genres within this album include hip hop, rap metal, techno, chill out and thrash. Suits my changing moods and brings all emotions out in the space of 60 minutes.

Isn't the album called Changeling? Revelator is a cracking tune though, and she has a great voice. She reminds me a bit of Agnes Obel.
