As a result of the Scott Walker thread the other day I started listening to Bob Dylan's Nashville Skyline, an album I haven't listened to for years, preferring the stuff done before and after it like Blonde On Blonde and Desire.

What a great album it is with a pure country feel, simple lyrics, a top-class backing band and the all-round feel of a man freed from the tensions of his previous angry young man/spokesman for a generation persona and completely at ease with himself.

Anyone else got any similar albums they've re-discovered?

The Bends by Radiohead. An obvious choice but OK Computer often overshadows it but this was a real classic 90's album.

depeche mode-violator,released in 1990,nearly 22 years old it is now and i only liked a few songs on it at the time of release, mind you i was only 16 at the time and my head was firmly in the madchester clouds but a few weeks ago i had it on in the car and couldn`t get enough of it(no pun intended)...

"Sandinistas" by "The Clash". Not listened to it for years and thought most of it was self indulgent and childish at the time.

Now think that it would have made a very good "Double" Album as opposed to the Triple it came out as.
