Very pleasantly surprised by him today. My MOTM. I'm not sure I want him back at LB though, especially in the Pep role. I think he needs to have no one behind him to be effective....when he's in the thick of it I think he'll be limited. That said maybe I got that wrong too.

Seen the game twice now. Was really quite good today.
His pros and cons as a footballer:
+ Good at pinging long accurate passes into the front as well as crossfield balls.
+ Decent in the air.
+ Calm on the ball.

- Not the fasted getting up and down the pitch
- Not the best in tight situations in terms of short passing and his overall agility.
- Not the best at stopping crosses coming in
When you look at that it seems quite obvious (after the fact!) why Pep has moved him to CB rather than keeping him at FB.
With all that said, this is vs Sunderland at home. Different kettle of fish vs the better teams tho.
Early days, but against the lesser sides at home he may be able to do a decent job there.

I noticed he didn't try any long range shots either. Seems to be listening. I liked his passion yesterday. Celebrated the goal on his knees and got all the players together after the 2nd.
I want to see this every week from him though not just every now and again. He started last season well and quickly
Turned to shit. He has got to be consistent every time he plays. I suppose the good thing is, it's clear that if the players don't do what they should be doing then they won't be in.
