Clichy isn't good enough for where we want to go, BUT barring a wobbly 10mins and giving the ball away a couple of times dangerously (which Sterling and Fernando also did) Clichy looked like he gave us the solidarity at the back that we needed last night. Gave the team balance I thought, Kiev didn't all out target our left hand side as much as teams usually do which meant we could press and defend across the pitch.
ALSO, to the Kolorov fanboys, can we PLEASE put this fallacy that Clichy doesn't add to our attack to bed now? Set up a goal with a beautiful thought out cross t'other week and now a perfectly flighted ball over the top to Aguero to put us in the right position to create and score last night. Touch is everything in football and Clichy can temper the power he uses on his distribution, rather than WELLY IT!

I don't hate the guy he's just one of the worst defenders in English football. I suppose it's not all his fault.
