Have a feeling we will go in for him.

Would be a fantastic signing in my opinion. Good mix of athleticism and technique.

By "have a feeling" do you mean you've just made it up?

Of course. Not going to sit here and imply otherwise.

But I he's very much in line with the kind of signings we've made over the past few years.

Hang on...I just realised where we'd be buying him from..um..Arsenal.

No thanks. No more. Shame.

Clichy should be enough evidence to show Bobby Manc can make these bottlers into winners.

Fuck it then, we might as well bid for OXlade-Chamberlain and Vermaelen too, to compliment Rvp and Song. We can have a starting eleven as follows next season...

Hart
Richard Vermaelen Toure Clichy
SOng Yaya
Nasri Aguero Ox-Chamberlain
Rvp

silva, tevez, kompany and co. on the bench

Why do people keep name dropping random footballers that we don't even need. We currently have the best squad of players in the premiership. One of the strongest midfields in world football. Are we gonna drop Yaya or Silva for Alex Song? The answer is NO! Will Fellani push them out of the team? NO. Will Martinez be an improvement on Yaya Toure? NO.

Could we use Alex Song as back up? Yes, but we are already fully stocked up in that dept with Gareth Barry, James Milner and Nigel De Jong. So why would we spend 25 million on someone we don't need? Having him sit on the bench, getting frustrated at not starting every game.

We don't need Edin Hazard either. Samir Nasri is the same player, often better in some respects.

The longer we keep this team of players together, the better they will gel. We need an experienced center back as cover for Kompany and Lescott. If we bought Vertonghen, he would relegate Lescott to the subs bench, but we would be unstoppable with him and Kompany at the back.

If Tevez stays, then it's happy days for him and Aguero to tear the footballing world a new arse. Just be patient, we don't need to keep on throwing players ontop of players, it just causes unecessary problems for all concerned.

A minor tweak is all that's needed, not surgery.

Er maybe because he is better than NDJ, Milner and Barry?

Agreed.
And I don't like Song - he's Ok, and better than lots, but no better that what we already have. We want the cream, and he definitely isn't that.

Javi Martinez is better than Song and would cost a similar amount given the extortionate fee Arsenal would charge.

Oh, so lets fill the bench up with 25 million pound footballers, that'll keep the wage bill down, maybe we could send them out on loan for a few seasons and watch their resale value plummet? Have you considered applying in for the vacant CEO position?

Wheres that facepalm pic?

Why did Mancini bring in Pizzaro?

Our central midfielders(if Song signed) would be Yaya, Barry, Milner, NDJ... considering Milner plays more on the wings that means we have 4 central midfielders for at least 50 games in a season... the rags have Anderson, Giggs, Scholes, Cleverly, Carrick, Fletcher(if he recovers) and Pogba(if he signs a new contract).

Pizarro made 5 appearences, mostly as sub.

Do you think that Alex Song would come to play from the bench, or would he expect to start every game? And if so, would Barry, Milner or De Jong get any games?

The rags might have 17 midfielders, but none of them are a patch on our options. Quality, not quantity.

Manchester United's squad strength is no longer of our concern. We need to focus on the likes of Real Madrid.
