Listening to an R5Live programme right now where Billy Monger meets Alex Zanardi after the latter has helped Billy a lot in rehab. Zanardi post accident is so positive but Billy Monger is awesome - how a kid facing what he faced can come out like he has deserves praise and respect - a proper hero.

Monger is amazing - what an absolute talent. How he's even got the balls to get in a race car again is incredible.
He even did a pretty good job at co-commentating on a ITV UKMotorsport race the other week.

I remember him being interviewed barely more than a couple of weeks after the accident whilst he was still in hospital. He was so positive it was unbelievable. An absolutely smashing kid, and I hope he becomes a permanent motor racing fixture on telly. He deserves to be a success

On successive days I heard the Monger/Zanardi interview then yesterday the death of Rachael Bland was announced - life has its ups and downs as it toys with your emotions but the sad death of Rachael just reinforces my awe of young Billy and how he has dealt with what has happened. The lad seems to just radiate positivity.
