Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

They don't invest in FSG. They both invested in the commercial side of the PGA. That is not the same thing. It is SGS that invested, which is a consortium of a lot of sport team owners and some other rich/well known people in the US. The PGA have the controlling interest. PIF has a minority stake of around 6%.
I swear that social media lowered the worlds IQ significantly, Artificial Intelligence is now doing the same.

Liverpool fans re confused as to why they are in for Isak.

From the BBC Live feed:

Callum: "Let's be honest, this is just us being greedy.

"He would be a great addition to the squad - any team would happily take him - but we just have so much threat in the attack that we simply don't need him to the point of spending more than £100m."

Michael: "It's getting silly this. If there are funds to spend get a centre-back - that's the cover we need. We do not need another forward. Just because there's money, it doesn't mean we must spend it."

Simon: "If Isak is available and Liverpool can afford him, then go for it.

"This will take Liverpool to the same level that Manchester City have been at for the past few seasons. When you are champions, you make your team better. All the great teams do the same."

I believe Liverpool are in for Isak because Nunez is a poor central striker, and they know what Salah's numbers will drop, and that Diaz will be a significant loss. Liverpool are not being greedy, they have problems in their forward line.

The news reports suggest that Isak is returning to Newcastle. If he ends up training with the squad then this transfer becomes less likely to happen, and Liverpool, far from being strong, will have difficulty in addressing a significant problem.

They also need a CB and a real 6. they better hope that gravenberch doesn’t get injured and that McAllister somehow stays injury free too. I guess they don’t wanna pay the 40-60M for Guehi and will acquire him next summer.
Isak definitely makes sense. Lost jota , Nunez and Diaz. Isak, ekitike and Rodrygo would even it out.

They have the same problems as Newcastle when you look at it. CB, striker and CM with willlock being injured. Quite funny.

Am I the only person who feels like their XI hasnt really got stronger but their squad has got a lot weaker.

Obviously Isak & Guehi change that but thats best part of £150/200m more money spent

How much of an upgrade is Ekitike, Wirtz, Frimpong, Kerkez over Dias, Szoboszlai, Trent and Robertson (who is now a potential CB option?)

Trent?!?

Hang your head.

You'll be referencing 'Big Virge' next

Wonder if he'll get booed at every random ground when he leaves. Or is that not cartel protocol

No, they haven't and not sure how many of them get in our best 11 either.

Well a lot of the spending is basically long-term rebuilding rather than strengthening. TAA gone, and Robertson and Salah not getting any younger. Wirtz is an obvious upgrade for the midfield, but the rest are just replacements for existing players.
