The brief synopsis on the BBC seems to say "we'll set something up that'll do what we want, and that'll be great, No need to think about it again then, money will just roll in to cover it and we don't need to care where from, it'll be fine."

Not sure about anyone else, but I’m always having house renovations done and having mysterious benefactors settling the bill without my knowledge, or even me making enquiries about it.
‘Boris Johnson learned that a Tory donor had funded the refurbishment of the Number 11 flat from media reports in late February, it is claimed. Lord Geidt says Boris Johnson was not aware David Brownlow had settled bill - said to be £200,000 - directly with the supplier on Oct 22’ @TheTimes
