No, he’s perfectly entitled to admit to his senior adviser over a year ago that his own Health Secretary is hopeless, and not suffer any consequences for his dereliction of duty in not ensuring that somebody competent is managing the response to the biggest crisis the country has faced in the living memory of 95% of the population. Why anyone would attach any accountability to the man in charge is totally beyond around half the population.

It’s fucking sad that so many people are either really gullible, completely uninformed or just don’t give a shit.

I also blame the left of Labour for putting an unelectable Corbyn in control, actually. We went into the most important election since the war with two shit PM candidates and most of the sensible politicians in both parties sidelined.

I voted for Corbyn because I wanted a hung Parliament. I wanted a hung Parliament because I wanted to stop Brexit. And what happened? We got Brexit and the most embarrassingly inept government in my lifetime just when we needed them least.

So, we actually voted the same way and I suspect we have in every election since June 2016, yet we are on different sides?

If you collect 100 black ants and 100 fire ants and put them in a glass jar nothing will happen. But if you take the jar, shake it violently and leave it on the table, the ants will start killing each other.

Reds believe that black is the enemy, while black believes that red is the enemy, when the real enemy is the person who shook the jar. The same is true in society.

Men vs Women
Black vs White
Faith vs Science
Youngs vs Old
etc…

Before we fight each other, we must ask ourselves: Who rocked the jar?

Not actually true as it happens and often misattributed to David Attenborough, but a good way to look at current political shenanigans I think. You are there in terms of recognising BJ and Farage as jar shakers, but just try to remember we are all in the same jar for better or worse.

Perfectly logical. We thought he wasn't telling the truth, now he admits he wasn't and nor were those he was working with.

We've just been Perry Mason getting a confession out of the perp (or the perp's enforcer).
 
And to prove the point about Johnson that many on here have made about how his bumbling demeanour, idiotic lies (that they all do apparently so it’s ok) and upper class twit behaviour endear him to lots of people, two of my sisters in law both said they love “Boris” after the fat bastard went for a paddle in the sea in Cornwall looking like a demented James Corden. I fucking despair.
