He knows that, come the next GE, he will be the 'likeable rogue' who will appeal to the morons. Agree. Its a bit of a cult, to accept BoJo has to go is to accept he is full of shit and that will not sell well to the hard core base. No other tory can sell the BS and distract from the reality like he can. The actual record is appalling - brexit a disaster and tax's and standards of living down.
