No Sunak will do poorly in the North, his recent geographical masterclass is a case in point.

However, the Conservatives and the media will be thirsting for someone clean cut, family man who won't attract scandal. Sunak fits that bill. If the papers get behind him he has a shout.

Truss's big advantage is that she has now become the face of global Britain, all trade deals small or just rollovers give her momentum. Without that crutch I don't think she can do it. In leadership campaign I think she gets exposed.
