I have absolutely no political affiliations to the left or right couldn't give a fuck, what I am bothered about is incompetence of those that have been charged to run the country and anyone who says this hasn't been one cluster fuck of mammoth proportions from day 1 is talking shite, anything and everything we've done has been a slow reactionary response to the crisis we're in, I could go over everything these liars(not an unfair label) have fucked up and continue to lie about but we all know what they are. Come the end of this crisis there will be a lot of nervous politicians with their arses twitching when the inevitable national enquiry begins into what the fuck went wrong.
With a majority of 80 an inquiry is not inevitable. There's already quite a list of unpublished stuff he's suppressed. He's bottled out of appearing before select committees (before this crisis). He bottled out of the Andrew Neill interview. It's taken three months to adopt WHO's advice on testing and tracing - and he was AWOL when the risk of a pandemic was identified.

I'm not impressed. It's incredible that some still are.

We should remember that if it wasn't for Macron telling Johnson to lock down the UK or he would shut the ports , airports and the Euro Tunnel , the UK would probably be carrying on as normal.

Taking back control?

There's nothing inevitable about it. The government won't initiate an inquiry and no one can force them, certainly not the media, most of it is onside or cowed. There might well be a political price to pay, but even if there is it'll be small potatoes, they're at the beginning of a five year term, they can do as they please and they will.

It is incredible, but only in the sense that Johnson supporters in here are incredibly mendacious.

There's a familiar pattern, bad news for Johnson? Then the figures are wrong, or they're being used by Johnson's enemies to politicise the crisis, or run this country down, or "it's too soon to judge", or the old favourite, attack the messenger, like they did with Boulton.

These right wing sycophants are not worth the dirt under your finger nails.

You say something isn't right but it's consistent with how he's always behaved. It's just people thought it was quite funny when he went missing during the election campaign and hid in a fridge and whatnot. He's always been a useless coward. Unfortunately he can't tit about like a clown as distraction right now so he's had to go AWOL instead, occasionally popping up to give a plucky survivor's account in the press. Absolute fraud.
Seeing how this 'Going missing' brought him a massive landslide, I think it may be time for
the realisation that you're well in a minority that looks like remaining so for donkey's years.

"the basic principle involved is simple but important: If the opinions of the public are to control the government, these opinions must not be controlled by the government."

The Engineering of Consent (1955)

And when that engineering is questioned?

The Telegraph...

The BBC's unforgivably Trot-dominated Panorama shows why we need transparency...

The BBC’s Panorama programme this week was a disaster. What could have been an enlightening insight into the genuine NHS front line and the undoubtable problems that a pandemic throws up instead descended into attempted hatchet job that ignored all perspectives but one – that of its hyper-partisan line up of interviewees.

Research from Guido Fawkes yesterday remarkably revealed that every single doctor interviewed for Panorama had a history of left-wing political activism. The Labour Party links were so deep that the programme turned into more of a Party Political Broadcast than a piece of serious journalism.....
