I’d imagine the piss poor performance of the government will be described as intentional as it was the only thing that would spur the lazy academics to produce a vaccine. “Let’s get a vaccine done”, will be the new mantra....I predict he will be hiding unless the Vaccine trials go well and he'll come back out being the jingoistic twat we know.

The thing about Churchill was the has got the big call of his Prime Ministership correct and had the bollocks and foresight to do so, when the path of least resistance was appeasement. That’s what really matters, or certainly matters far more than the mistakes and shortcomings to which you refer. That is what leadership is about.The guy thinks he is Churchill? You mean the Churchill who screwed up Gallipoli, Sydney St siege, that no commander during WW11 would allow anywhere near a planning meeting, who was thrown out as soon as the war ended and lasted only a few short years when brought in again in the 50's?
