Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

Hopefully another by election in the Autumn then? The fucker will probably want out by then as sitting on the back benches won’t interest him until the next general election.

I think he's sending out 'I'm staying' messages about protecting his brexit/ukraine 'legacies'.
Whether he'll do anything that's not focussed on himself remains to be seen.

I strongly suspect that he won't be hanging around much into next year - if you remember he hasn't ( and probs won't be ) resigned from PM. He said he has stepped down as leader of the Tory Party ( not resigned ) he would rather walk away from Uxbridge as he is unlikely to hold it anyway but then leave it for his successor to lose in a byelection.

Thats how warped his relationship with the truth is. He is always correct as far as he is concerned so if the above happens whenever he is questioned he can say he never resigned as leader they had a vote and so he stood down. He didn't resign as PM his Party voted in a new head and that person automatically became PM as a result. And finally he never lost his seat in an election - once again he simply stood down and it wasn't his fault his successor was unable to defend it for the party.

He can never be wrong and he can never have failed in his own construction of his biography and he will be getting things in order to maintain that.

He will still be PM at Christmas

He has to resign as PM, otherwise HMQ could already have asked someone else to form a government.

The Tory on Question Time last night was saying no PM has ever resigned mid-term and gone immediately without waiting for a successor to be appointed. That's bunkum. Chamberlain, Eden, Macmillan, all resigned without knowing who would succeed them, but a new PM was appointed next day. The monarch just took soundings about who ought to be asked to form a government.

Though the best bit was after Melbourne was dismissed by the king in 1834 - Lord Liverpool wouldn't do it, and suggested Robert Peel, but he was on holiday so a civil servant (Hudson?) was despatched to try and track him down. He found him (and Mrs Peel) in Italy. Peel says, "What are you doing here?" "To invite you to be Prime Minister." After an argument about how Hudson could have got there quicker by a different route, Mr & Mrs Peel set out home (through a riot, and floods); he hired a private carriage from Dover to go straight to the King to accept office. He lost the ensuing GE a few weeks later.

No PM has ever prorogued Parliament illegally - No serving MP has ever been fined - this is Johnson - he is mad keen on convention but doesn't apply it to his own actions

That reminded me of a mix of Johnny Rotten and an attack on the Slytherin House.

Thing is he had to rein in the language as ( based on my experiences of two recent graduations ) that would have been in Canterbury Cathedral and the clergy will be there most notably the Archbishop Justin Welby who we know from some of his utterances doubtless thinks Johnson is a **** but knows he can't say it in his own church lol

Best assassination there since Becket.

According to a Conservative spokesman there is nothing in the COBRA protocols stating meetings should be attended or chaired by the PM.
I'm sure members of the public would want the PM there as COBRA is an emergency committee. You know, just so he can appear to be interested. He could sit there playing games on his phone but at least he should pretend to give a fuck.

I think he’s been pretending to give a fuck for years now.
He‘s just not very good at it.

well my answer to that is ok he has a deputy - Raab - he wasn't there
it will impact health, energy and possibly law and order in the UK - where were Patel, Hands and Raab again as this is their brief - nowhere
Instead they ask a 6 day old Minister without portfolio to host the gig - they are happy to take the ministerial pay until September but have no intention of doing a shred of work for it
