Imo, Arsenal are in an ideal position to start again & are most likely about to fuck the whole thing up on short termism .

Keep the money, start working on a manager for next season & lining up transfers for then.

Start next season with a new man & a bunch of new players who are hungry to play for him.

I fully agree, however unfortunately we don't make the decisions.

One thing is for sure, there certainly seems to be a bit of a ruthless clear out. I'm wondering if this is all Wenger's decision or is he starting to lose some influence already like has been suggested....

True enough.

Pogba is seen as £89m but that was just to avoid the tag of becoming the world's costliest player at the time. Another £42m went to his agent Raiola, who kicked back some of that to the player.

Even Lukaku, announced by United at £75m but it's actually £90m with achievable add-ons and chucking Rooney into the equation who would still have had a market value anywhere else of circa £20m.

All the same, there is no spin they can create which will now stop the Sanchez £508k a week wages being anything but the accepted truth.

Mino has seen to that. He's leaked the figures through Italy.

He is now burning his bridges at United. Big nose is off, they have treated Mkhitaryan appallingly. Pogba now has a major benchmark to demand parity.

It's classic Mino.

Pogba is the one, for me.

If Utd suddenly erupt into being a really excellent team & challenge for everything next season, then not such a problem, but if they have a spell of raised expectations, followed by Mourinho having yet another depressed meltdown (which will happen this season if Sanchez doesn't have the desired effect) Pogba is left stood at a crossroads in his career.

And with that **** as an agent stirring.

Not a situation I'd like to see at our club.

It's way more. United are still arguing over the size of the settlement with Mkhitryan. He's being pushed out with two years left on his deal and is the main reason for the delay.
Possibly 3.5 years, he had the option of an extra year. Good chance he's entitled to the lot as well as he hasn't put in a transfer request or agitated for a move. May as well add another 25m (at least) onto their costs for signing Sanchez.

I give it another 12 months before Real Madrid or Paris make a move.

Mino only has a small stable of players who can truly help him achieve big pay days. Is Dybala one, though?

Big Nose will move in the summer as a free and that will be that.

Mkhitryan will wither on the vine at Arsenal and that will be that.

Pogba is perfectly positioned and quite entitled to turn around to United and ask for the same as Sanchez - he's already earning £17m a year!!

And with Raiola having the whip-hand here, he'll either nail Woodward to the table or screw up the whole thing just to spite them. Apparently he's an agent who likes to feel that his players trust him and no one else so builds a bunker mentality among his clients.

Good test of his desire to do his best for the club seeing he went for the money in the first place pure and simple.

They will want further strengthening up front in the summer no doubt and the usual suspects will be involved no matter how the last 15 games pans out for them and us.

If I was Rashford and Martial I would be wanting that Mou decides to leave for another club in the summer. We know a year is a long time in football now.

Even Lakaku isn't safe as they are clearly content to fashion a side for the short term each and every year.

Who fancies Bottlebrush , Mata and Shaw in the summer.

That's been the sticking point. United and Arsenal are arguing the toss over who pays what of it. That's before any signing-on fee he gets at Arsenal.

Mkhitryan will make more money in the immediacy than Sanchez!

And here's what really makes me question how much more I will continue to love the game.

Most agents are now asking for uplifts in contracts commensurate with whether the TV deal goes up.

Not down. Just up.

Lots of talk implying Sanchez is near a geriatric, he was 29 in December. He's 7 months younger than Sergio and likely to do very well. David Silva is 32 and he's still producing the goods. Real Madrid are hoping to buy Lewandowski who's 29. He's likely going to the rags but let's not be completely deluded.

If he was 25, world class and a top 5 in the world player like Neymar then fair enough but £500k a week, £30m fee and a decent player going the other way....?

Sergio and Silva are not far from being similar but the difference is they have both already been there and done it and will definitely do more.

Sanchez did alright at Barcelona but he has struggled at Arsenal. I can't see him changing United so they win lots of stuff either because they need a team of £50m players and not a team of mostly £10m ones and a couple of £200m ones.. it isn't a good move for him tbh.

It isn't a question of whether Sanchez will do well, he has no choice but to otherwise United have seriously miscalculated this one..

If that's true then it's the best thing which could happen to you imo. Might mean a tough finish to the season, but it would lead to a potentially exciting summer.

Looking at Walcott now, shows Wenger up imo. He might never have had the intelligence to become Barca front 3 level player, but he should be a fucking sight better than he is now & appears to have learned nothing, under Wenger, same as all the other young players he signed. We saw it imo with Pellegrini/Sterling. Brendon Rodgers (who gets on my fucking tits) had him improving rapidly. One season with Pellegrini & he was worse than when we signed him. One season with Pep & he's learning stuff again.

Get rid of Wenger.

But you know how fans minds work. No team is 'perfect', teams never stand still, and as soon as competitors start rebuilding then they, the rags in this instance, will be pressurised into spending more and especially so it is us who are doing the rebuilding.

Ibrahimovic had to accept less money when he renewed last year.

Remarkable how much they can spend! Looks like they won’t be paying much of there debt back while Mourinho still there.

I know this might not be popular, but I'd take either Rashford or Martial if they get their noses pushed out. Pep would turn them into top notch players.

The problem they have with Pogba, imo, is that he is already overpriced, in comparison to Neymar.

If fees keep going up, & Pogba doesn't go up 100% in performance, even with inflation, he still won't actually be worth what Utd have already paid for him.
