The senile one was probably hoping Sanchez would do himself out of a huge signing on fee elsewhere (while simultaneously trusting that said senile one wouldn't fuck him over again as per deadline day) by signing a contract extension. Makes as much sense as anything else in the weird and wacky world of Wenger.

After watching him a few times this season he just doesn't looks arsed playing for Arsenal. Its like hes just waiting for the transfer. If we offer £25M in January I think that will do it

That’s a great point. The only reason for Arsenal to hang on to him is in the hope he helps to secure CL footy for them. Looks like they’re fighting over one spot with Liverpool, spurs and even Burnley, so they really should take the money from us in January.

Well that's not very logivsl, is it? If they are fighting for CL and are in a serious fight with 3 clubs forv1 spot, it does then no good selling there best player.
