He doesn’t look arsed, but always creates a chance out of nowhere when ever I’ve watched him this season.

Maybe, but surely we want to have the man he was last season, not the one since the transfer has gone bust.
There must be a reason for that delta, and watching old David Silva I don't think it's about age or missing a yard.

I predict when he would finally play in a sky blue shirt in THAT team under THAT manager
he will be a very happy man again and his natural attitude and brilliance will be back in a big bang.
That idea must be a nightmare for Wenger and arse fans.

I also think it would even be a positive for Sané and Raz in terms of shared workrate/fresh legs and some strong competition.

Well that's not very logivsl, is it? If they are fighting for CL and are in a serious fight with 3 clubs forv1 spot, it does then no good selling there best player.
Are Arsenal logical at all? They want the CL for the money mainly. Yes there’s some prestige and they may be able to attract better players etc. But it’s mainly the money reasons. Why turn down a guaranteed, say, £30M from City and chance that you might get a bit more if you qualify for the CL?

The problem of not wanting to strengthen a direct rival and weaken themselves should no longer be a problem. It will make no difference to our league position if he joins us and he is not making a big difference to where they are in the league. But that's asking a Frenchman to see logic!
You are right, I don't think the "helping us" argument is relevant here. But the "hurging them" argument is completely relevant.

If we were being logical, it would be stupid of them to sell. They are in a battle for 4th place and Europa title, keeping their best player helps them more than 25 or even 45 million ever could.

If they sell it will be because of greed and emotionality and nor logic

I'm not sure they are. But selling to us isn't the most logical option if you ask me. Better to try to earn a CL berth (either by coming 4th or Europa) than earning 25 million now and reducing your chances.

Qualifying for CL guarantees more money, improves chances of attracting new players and gives the brooding player a chance to reconsider.

All these are far better consequences or opportunities than is losing your best player for 25 million.

I think Arsenal will sell. But I also think its a dumb decision on their part. They should have either demanded 60 million in the summer or let him go free.

Selling now doesn't make much sense. But luckily for us, the Prem is full of emotionally driven illogical buffoons.

So I'm not too worried :)

The same argument applied last summer, only with a higher amount of money, and there Arsenal did not sell. I think the only logical thing would be for them to refuse again actually. If they were prepared to reject 60 million in summer, why should they not be prepared to reject less money now?
I hope I am wrong. I really would like Sanchez to join City.

They should sell now. Get a decent amount for a player who isn't staying whatever happens in the summer.

They should have been targeting a replacement since the window closed. So their options are to gamble on a unhappy Sanchez making the difference to the end of the season. Or pay over the odds for a replacement in Jan and use some of our money to offset that inflated price. This is their best option. They come out better going forwards with a player who is happy to be there and only spending what they would have any way.
But this is Wenger...

The senile one was probably hoping Sanchez would do himself out of a huge signing on fee elsewhere (while simultaneously trusting that said senile one wouldn't fuck him over again as per deadline day) by signing a contract extension. Makes as much sense as anything else in the weird and wacky world of Wenger.

He's certainly got his fingers burned with this one!
