Alexis Sanchez

A tad disrespectful towards the players of MCFC who put us 23 points above Sanchez's team. Hes not even their best player this season, nowhere near it. His signature guarantees nothing and if he does sign, he has to get in our first team and keep his place.

No signing guarantees success. All are a risk. Many players with huge ability have flopped at clubs only to do well elsewhere.

We have a potential for 30 more games this season if we make it to the final in all competitions. During that time we have 6 days between liverpool and the newcastle game next week, a week between 3rd and 10th feb games, if we make the fa cup quarters we have a week off before it but if we dont and do make the league cup final we would potentially play in the league that weekend.

There is a week between 14th and 21st april games and 5th and 13th may games but again if we keep progressing in all competitions then rearranged games will take place...

Yes it is all hypothetical at the moment. But we have a fuck load of games with little time between them is my point. Sanchez might have lost it in your eyes, I think you are judging him too soon, but either way he is another player to help rotate the squad. Bernardo Aguero Sanchez one game Sane Sterling Jesus another... only a good thing.

According to this we have. And Utd have trumped it. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/jan/11/manchester-united-alexis-sanchez-arsenal

A move to Man Utd makes some sense. He could play a deep role for them. He can't really do that at City as we already have midfield creative options. Despite all the talk about Alexis being perfect for City, it's far from obvious that he is. He does not have the basic speed to play as a wide forward now. And he isn't getting past Aguero. I think Pep sees him as back-up. He probably knows that. However does he want to play at Utd, and for a coach who could be out of a job in a few months.
Sorry but there's no way Pep Guardiola sees one of the greatest players of his generation as back-up.

Well, I suspect no one on here knows the actual figures and if it were down to a few mil, I would think a compromise would be made, but we wont be mugged off.

What we paid for Danilo is totally irrelavnt as far as I see it.
I wouldn't say totally irrelevant as it shows that we have no problem going to that kind of money when if we'd played hardball we could probably have gotten him cheaper.

Marv. Sanchez is a winner - what will he achieve their seriously?

I would question the mentality of any player, who spends the whole summer turning down the advances of Bayern and PSG because he wants to play for City/Pep, to then end up signing for United/Liverpool.

Exactly, it would just show what we (or more importantly Pep) thought he was as a player isn't what he is.

I don't think this though

United would buy Neymar and turn him into Theo Walcott.

Raved about as a youngster, at Southampton, by every journo under the sun.

Now even the Arse’s bin men have flatly refused Wenger’s plea to take him off there hands.

Has there ever been a more ignominious fall from grace so quickly, (Wiltshire apart) than this “Future England Superstar’s”

I'm not sure. If we really aren't willing to pay £5m extra and that ends up meaning the deal doesn't go through I think he'd have a right to feel like we've fucked him over.

If he felt that way I would expect his agent to put the feelers out to Bayern and PSG again. He can sign a contract with either and pocket £millions in the Summer. If he wants trophies he signs for us, Bayern or PSG. If he wants money he hangs on until the summer and goes to whoever offers him the most. I just don't see the attraction of leaving Arsenal (winning nothing and not likely to) to sign for United or Liverpool who have their own issues.
