Going to the rags is by definition NOT his "only option". He could STAY. That's the point. If Arsenal says "we just sold you to a side in the Ukraine for 200 MM" he doesn't have to go anywhere. Arsenal has ZERO leverage here. He and we have it ALL. But if he wants the rags there is jack shit we can do about it. If he's going to the highest bidder then you say we should pay. If that's not bending over, what is?
Seeing as his family have arrived in London, it sure looks like he is off soon. He ain't hanging about.
We all know that Sanchez is a Man City player for the taking. We have Pep, we play the beautiful football and we are on course to win trophies. Every single thing points towards Man City.
The only option Utd have of securing him is throwing a shit load of money at Sanchez and his agent. As someone has already mentioned, their transfer policy is a very scatter gun like approach, but they have to spend silly money to keep selling the Man Utd dream that they can get back to the big time like the Fergie days.
This is a player who will literally catapult us to more trophies and like I said, guarentee us the league for the next few seasons. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet to keep yourselves way ahead of the chasing pack. Barcelona and Monaco pulled PSG's pants down for Neymar and Mbappe, but would you have both players at City? I certainly would. If it wins them a Champions league then they will be laughing all the way to the bank and will prove very sound investments. They have already taken them up a level as a club this season anyway.
If we miss out on Sanchez, who do you realistically think we could get for 25-30m as good as him? There is nobody.
I guarantee you now, if City miss out on Sanchez, we won't even go in for another attacking player because we simply won't be able to afford one as well as budgeting on a CB and a CM. We will be looking at spending at least 70m on a top top player in Sanchez' position, at the bare minimum. If we do miss out on not paying the premium on Sanchez and he joins them rag bastards, we will have simply dropped as big of a clanger as when Utd nabbed RVP and Chelsea nabbed Hazard from under our noses.
This market now is ruthless, we have to grasp this Sanchez opportunity with both hands or we will end up pricing ourselves out for other players in that position.
