Grow up, & try to be objective for once, bud.

Look at the numbers. Lallana scored 8 goals from midfield last season, Wijnaldum scored 6, Coutinho 13 on the wing & could just as well hit double digits in the advanced midfield role. Those are pretty damn good numbers for two midfield spot. Mané could easily hit 15-20 goals as well if he's not injured.

Again, we're talking strictly league play here
Yes they're decent, but you started on the goal power, and City's supposed lack of it. JESUS in both senses. Did you not watch him last season? Are you aware that he is the best striker in South America. You're adding that to Aguero and Sane. Plus we have two Silvas and KDB in midfield. And next season we will have a defence.

Don't give us Henderson and Llalana.

Rags 59 league goals - 17 off big nose = 42 league goals ATM

City 80 league goals -2 off players that have left = 78 league goals

But I can see where he's coming from saying the rags have more goalscoring potential like having yaya and gudongan for a full season instead of half a season.
but he's 'objectively' deciding that's he right about the rags having more goalscoring potential. Surely that's worth at least 40 goals a season for them?

Sané will be the best player in England within 18 months, he's literally got everything.
he has but so has Mane. Mane is Liverpools shining light but so far they have two world class players in Countinho and mane. Whereas City have 3 all across the front line and then 3 in midfield. Bravo in goal, and Kompany at centre back, with full backs on their way like Alves and Mendy so no contest. Where it becomes interesting is when you pit City against Chelsea and Spurs. Yes Liverpool will eclipse Utd but they will be really boring to watch again, and yes admittedly very difficult to beat. They could buy Ronaldo and they'd still be boring.

I'm fully aware of Jesus' ability, I don't doubt it for a second. All the potential in the world to be the next world-class & legendary striker for Brazil That attack is amazing, of course. So is Liverpool's who only scored two less goals last season.

Best striker in South America? What? Do you mean when he was playing in the Brasileiro ?

So what exactly is your point?

You think Aguero, Sané, Sterling, Jesus, KDB, Bernardo Silva is a worse attack than Firmino, Mané, Coutinho, Lallana, Wijnaldum and Salah?

That's the point you're actually trying to make? Because I don't think even Jurgen Klopp would try to convince anyone of that.

Your the one that is not being objective. We can all play the "what if" game. Kun only played the equivalent of 26 games in the league and scored 20 goals he missed 12 games mainly through suspension and not injury. Another 12 games out of him and he would have scored 30 goals. Jesus played the equivalent of 7 games and scored 7 goals. By your reckoning that's another 30 goals right there. Gundogan played 8 games and scored 3 goals so that's another 12 goals.

No, I didn't say that. The context was the lack of depth up front, possible over reliance on either Jesus or Kun for goals (scenario of injury to Kun & having one recognized goalscorer for three matches a week), & how many times Pep emphasized that you guys lacked that killer instinct in the boxes, many times last season. A problem that both Sánchez, & Sané played on the right would solve. Not to mention that Pep loves to rotate & you guys will need those quality rotation options to not burn the likes of Sterling & Sané out. With the (likely) signings at FB, midfield & possibly CB, you guys have those bases there covered. Signing a world-class forward who can play in all three positions up front, is a proven goalscorer in the top echelons of international, CL & PL football, & will provide healthy competition to boot.

City players capable of playing as a number 9 or 10. Kun, Jesus, KDB, Sane, Iheanacho. Probably others could but not as a natural position. We have no more reliance on one player than any other club that has a world class striker as their number 1.

Nacho is probably leaving, & neither Sané nor Sterling have played there yet have they? Also, I would think having someone like Sánchez there is pretty different that those two or KDB.

It must have escaped your notice that Jesus signed in the Janaury transfer window

Please tell me what the weak link is in Sane, Jesus, Aguero with back up from Sterling, Silvas and KDB?
