The work rate of Sanchez is superb. He's ability with ball is something what we were missing this season. We should sign him, not sure if Pep would agree with this lol

How has a sanchez thread derailed into another argument about sterling's worth. Anyways if given the choice I would take sanchez over Mbappe anyday for various of reasons. I always thought of sanchez as a very good player but never one that could become any more than that but his last two seasons with Arsenal, he's been pretty much performing at a World Class level. His all round game has come on so much these past few seasons that I believe not only could his signing propel the team to a League title(assuming other reinforcements are bought on the defensive side), he could also help the team win the champions league, that's how highly I rate him. As for the arguments for his signing

1. The first and obvious point is his quality, he's been a one-man team for Arsenal this seaason and imo been performing at a higher level than hazard for a good couple of seasons. His all round game has come on leaps and bounds and is amongst the best in the League. He has the perfect combination of speed, agility, technique, creativity, link-play and goal threat and the current version of him is a World Class player that any team will be lucky to have

2. Fit for the system- This is probably one of the biggest points for his signing. This is a player who is adept at playing anywhere across the front line and sometimes even deeper at a high level. His tactical flexibility, pressing and aggressive style would fit perfectly into exactly what Pep demands in his team but more importantly, his teamwork and awareness of his team-mates is something that Pep values a lot from his forward players. In this team and system with the young players not only will his game improve as a result of the quality around him but the youngsters will also improve from him

3. Age and Experience- Some see this as a negative but in fact I believe it is exactly what the team with the likes of sane, sterling and jesus needs right now and not another young player with potential. At 28 this is a player who is at his peak, has premier league experience, and can possibly perform at the highest level for a good 2 or 3 seasons during which the younger players will be learning and improving from so by the time he starts declining they will be more than ready to step in.

4. Leadership qualities- The team has desperately lacked a player who can lift the others countless times this season when the chips are down. This is a player whose workrate and determination is almost unparalleled in the league. He will always give 110% for his team no matter what the circumstances are and that mentality is exactly what these young players and even some of the experienced ones need to feed off. He's a born winner(similar to tevez in a way) who you feel his mere presence alone lifts his teammates and crowd when he's playing.

5. Lastly this is a player on his last year of contract so wouldn't cost the world to get, Pep clearly rates and wants him, he also seems to be interested in the move and you weaken a rival as a result of his signing. He would be a marquee signing for the team and one that would lift the team and players for the foreseeable future. I mean 26 goals and 19 assists for this season's Arsenal is nothing short of amazing.

Totally agree. He's the perfect attacking signing for us. Can play all 3 forward positions, presses like crazy, scores and assists. Gabriel Jesus can play centre and left, Sterling and Sané can play both sides and even centrally if needed. Perfect options, where resting someone doesn't really weaken us, unlike currently where Navas has to come in. Just get the deal done and let's win the league.

If Aguero is to be moved on then Sanchez would the ideal candidate to replace him, but to realistic we cannot fit in both of them (especially with Gabriel Jesus at the club) into the same team.

Sanchez/Sterling - Aguero/G.Jesus - Sane/(Roberts)

Sanchez could also play the no.10 in a 3-4-3 Diamond and fill in from time to time for KDB in the 'free 8'

I don't see the problem with those 6, or 5 if Roberts goes on loan again. I think we might be expecting a little too much from GJ to lead the line every week, he will almost certainly have a dip for a while, and the whole point of signing a forward isn't to replace the goals we currently score but to add more. Signing Sanchez to replace Aguero wouldn't make sense

We used to have
Aguero/Tevez/Dzeko/Balotelli/Silva/Nasri/Milner/A.Johnson
&
Aguero/Dzeko/Negredo/Jovetic/Silva/Nasri/Milner/Navas
for our front 4

We currently have
Aguero/GJesus/Sane/Sterling/Navas/Nolito
for our front 3 and Nolito and Navas are gone, the latter either to Sevilla or to backup RB

Absolutely spot on. Let me add my 2 cents to say that I'd be pretty underwhelmed if we signed Costa and missed out on Sanchez. He is a fighter and he is a killer. Just cede the slightest chance to him and he'll destroy you. Sanchez would simply improve our attack multiple folds.
