if the M1 is closed south of watford and you want ruislip or going to harrow on the hill this looks ok if your there early doors

M1 OFF AT 6A
M25 9 MILES OFF AT 18
A404 5 MILES
A4180 3MILES AND INTO RUISLIP

I have been speaking to the Transport Managers at my Company's Depots in both the South East and the Midlands tonight and here are two more alternative routes; neither are ideal but it looks like a hell of a lot of Traffic is going down the M42 from 10am onwards; God forbid a couple of breakdowns and a bump

1. Give yourselves an extra hour for this.

M40 J9 Oxford
A34 Newbury
M4 Reading
Past Heathrow

2. An extra hour and a half from the North West

M1 to Northampton
A509 to Bedford
A1(M) Past Hatfield and towards the North Circular.

lads, as someone who lives"dahn sarf"...my advice is as follows :-

Come straight down the m40, DONT go via the m4 etc it will take you away from wembley..follow the m40 through to hanger lane, then round the north circular and you will be there no probs.

ALSO, and this is very relevant as i came south at 11 pm last night my advise is DONT go down the M1 then south via the M25..there are major roadworks on the m25 which will delay you horribly.

The best advise of all is to get off the m1 at watford and get the train/metropolitan line to wembley
