The ref was John Brooks. who did a decent job.

It was a good game, in front of over 4,300 people, and while I'm pleased Alty have got back into the top tier of 'amateur' football, I don't think they can compete at that level when the players are part time.

It's England's fifth division these days, full of professional teams, so I'm not hoping for much, but you never know.

It's a well run club financially, and with FFP kicking in even at that level, maybe they can stay there for a while.

I hope so.

Great crowd - albeit on a day when City and the rags were not playing.
If only half that number turn up for home games next season it will be a start.
Who'd have thunk it that Alty would be playing a league above Stockport!

Yes it was, ppv, cost me about £6 but you could buy a package at the start of the play offs that included all the games and was much cheaper per game.

Boston keeper dropped a right bollock for the goal.
