Nice one Alty.
Although he had no interest in football (or sport) my dad was Alty / Timperley born and bred (you know he was, he really was) and lived on North Vale Road, off Woodlands Road - as did Mike Summerbee.
One weekend we stayed at our nanna's, guess I must have been aged around 5 and me and my 2 brothers knocked on his door around 8am on a Sunday for an autograph.... Asked us to come back around 10. We were there on the dot!
Met him at the supporters do before the game v Bayern in Miami 2 years ago and apologised!

Maybe this will make up for the realisation that Altrincham has been classed as being in Greater Manchester.

Probably not though.
