Ok, heres my current set up and I want to get the most of what I have got already by spending very little!

42" Panasonic Plasma

HDMI 1 to SKY+HD
HDMI 2 to LG DVD Player with Surround Sound (built in AMP with 4 Tallboy speakers, Woofer and Central speaker)
XBOX 360 on Component with sound going through the DVD player for the surround sound
Wii to AV1 (not that arsed about this!)

The DVD player has no optical input so in order to get the most out of this set up and benefit from the surround sound from the TV, I think I have two options :-

1. Replace the DVD player for one with built in AMP but with an optical input
2. Buy a separate AMP

If I go for option 2, how easy would it be to get everything up and running? Everything up to now has been straight forward but by adding a seaprate amp am I buying something which is unnessecary?
If people sreckon I go for an AMP, then any suggestions??? (ideally about £100!!)
