Both great singers, Whitney's songs are technically very hard to sing. Top end grade 8. Amy's vocals were much lower in range but those deep vocals gave her an expressive sound that suited jazz and soul. Both were excellent and its very sad neither are still with us imho.

Don't misunderstand
The demise of both was very similar and extremely sad
I'm not and never was a Whitney Houston fan, but she had an incredible voice and was insanely beautiful

Hats off to Amy Winehouse as she did write her own material (most of the time) but my god, she sounded like a car tyre going down
