If you walk down a street you may step on an ant and think nothing of it. The ant would die.

If you knew that the ant was holding a tiny yet powerful bomb which, if you stepped on it, would blow up in your face killing you outright, you would probably avoid that particular ant.

This is why the UK needs to stay armed. The Lib Dems want to ditch Trident, but we need it because without it we are too vulnerable.
