An Evening With Manchester City Legends - 6th May at the Opera House

To be fair none of em are legends - it’s one of the most ridiculously wrongly used words in the football fan’s vocabulary.

That said, anyone who was at Villa Park that afternoon when he slotted home that late winner wouldn’t begrudge Reidy a drink or two on us
I was told, at the time, that it was the first live televised game that we won since the 1969 Cup final.

Some of them have cult status (Goater being the obvious one, along with Dickov, both of them arguably attaining that status on the back of single goals). I wouldn't call them legends. Others may do so; that's their choice.
They were special players at a special time for the club and the fans. Loved watching us in those days.

Pretty sure it wasn’t live. Highlights on the Sunday. Game on the Saturday. As far as I recall
Yep. Definitely wasn't live. There were very few live games back in those days. The FA Cup final, the England vs Scotland annual game in the home internationals, the European Cup final and if there was a Euros or World Cup in the summer. That was about it back then.
