An Evening With Manchester City Legends - 6th May at the Opera House

I thought we played pretty decent football under Kendall.

I know, when he came in, he was playing five at the back, but that was out of necessity to stop us conceding so many, but certainly in the second season, it was much better.
Kendall's timing in leaving was weird, we were starting to look a proper team, there was a great atmosphere around the club, the proverbial, now is our time and I genuinely thought we were about to challenge for honours, his decision to leave was gut wrenching.

Peter Reid was a nightmare for me, he took over a very good side but once he started to mould it into his team it went very wrong.

I agree about things really looking up during Kendall's time with us.

I thought we were on the brink of something great, but I can sort of understand why he went back to Everton, though it didn’t work out for him.

I too was gutted, when he went.

Not sure about your.last paragraph.
Reid managed half (or just over half) of the 90 / 91 season and took us to 5th place (yes with Kendal's team) then 5th again the following season.
His final full season that ended with the disastrous Everton home game we finished 9th but had we won that final game we'd have finished 6th. It seemed to fall.apart when the team.buggered off to China with a few games to go and the players were fucked.
Yes there was disgruntlement behind the scenes and with fans with the style of play which appeared to be aimed more at Sam Ellis. The fact the Everton performance form spilled over to the next season became an issue and both were fired.
That last 6 months apart I don't think his managerial time with us could be called a nightmare.

Peter Reid for me was a terrible manager and to be fair even Swales did not want him to have the job, fan power gave it to him.

And let's not forget he was responsible for Sam Ellis, enough said for me.

Getting rid of Colin Hendry is bad enough in itself but to then realise that he has to hunt around for anyone who can win the ball in the air is clueless in my humble opinion. Holden for Hughes was shite too

What did we pay for Holden? £800 000, was it?

What a complete and utter waste of fucking money!

Especially, when we had a young lad, who’d cost us nothing and left for nothing.

As much as I love them I don’t need to hear Dickov and Weaver tell the Gillingham story for the 999999999th time.

Weaver has got some very interesting off field tales he could tell from his time at City.

I highly doubt he will be though.
