Maly,I have sent a mail earlier this week to all Disley Blues I know.Should be a few of us in attendance!

Are you part of High Peak Branch as I have been trying to send onto PE there but lost his contact details when my PC got a virus earlier this year?

Nah, not part of any branch anymore. Just not got the time for it. Me & my old fella originally started a High Lane/Disley Branch up at the Amalgamated, but found that there was loads of interest down in the village, so passed it over to what is now probably the Disley branch.

The event's being put on by High Lane FC.

If you mean Chic's lad, then yeah, that's me. Do you play for the Albert?

If your too old to play Tbilsi but fancy watching a good local derby, High Lane vs Disley up at the Amalgamated this Sunday 10.45am kick off. I'm lead to believe that it is commonly known as the sheep shaggers derby by the other teams in our league. I'll be the gobby skinhead managing High Lane.

Your right, that's a proper sheep shagging derby. We had a few battles as kids in High Lane vs Glossop games. Are the U12's Robbie & Dave's team?

Yeah they are good lads. Dave plays for me on a Sunday. Good little team they've put together there.

as i cant post new threads - can someone pick this up and vote for colin

Great cause[and might go along]---but sorry Andy May and Andy Dibble are not 'City Legends' for me--------Seems to demean the true 'legends' of City a bit.--- Alternatively i'm a miserable tosser!

You miserable tosser ; )

These are generally the lads that play loads of charity games for the City Legends, hence.....An evening with the Legends.

Anyway, legend or not, Andy May is City through & through & seems like a good bloke too. With regards to Dibble, I always liked him as a keeper & I think most fans were gutted to see him dropped for Coton (initially anyway).

Andy May True Blue as seen in his goal celebration salute to The Kippax in the 10 - 1.
Dibble has always been one of the best City players I have met. Also deserves the status of legend in true City style for the imaginative use of sponsored cars!

I was gonna mention that Andy May should be a legend for scoring in the 10-1. Penalty given away by John Gidman 'because he was board' of memory serves me right. Andy May was also in the team when I first started going in the 80's & a home grown player, so one of my early favourite players with that other legend that is Steve Kinsey.

Dibble will always be an infamous legend if nothing else for his moment with Gary Crosby. That one could only happen to City.
