Oh yes ready for it,someone was telling me he's a rag and been making a few crappy comments about city, who knows!

He is a rag, dunno about the City comments. I love him, one person completely not affected by fame and standard Manc.

Had the box set of series one and it was fantastic, laugh out loud funny.
Still think he puts a lot of it on and exaggerates his ignorance, but what the hell, he's very funny.
Saw him at Piccadilly Station a while back and he's taller than he looks on telly.

I would say he puts about 80% on, he just carries it well.

If you listen to the old XFM shows from 2001-2004 you hear him develop from a producer who spoke for a few seconds a show to becoming the star of the show and the focus of the programme.

He's genuine but most of the podcast stuff and now the TV stuff is sort of rehashed from the old radio shows.

Everything he's ever said has been genuine but with the help of Gervais and Merchant he's been able to fine tune his stupidity and play on it for a mass audience.

Anyone who likes the TV shows should look into getting hold of the radio stuff though as it's much funnier, totally spontaneous and a genuine joy to listen to!

He's not an idiot so much as someone who thinks differently to most people and struggles at times with quite simple concepts. Obviously some of it is him playing to Gervais, or these days a larger audience but fair play to him, it's made him a millionaire!
