no doubt de jong showed some bollocks. but motm by a fucking mile was barry. he was everywhere played the easy and tough passes too. he showed everything. good in the air and passionas much as de jong. hes not explosive but man he works hard and can tackle too. Barry has been suberb this year

De Jong was amazing again, and I too can't really see why Mancini brought him off....however, you expect "superman" to come on and do just as good a job at breaking up play (as he did last year), as well as pushing on and creating chances. But he let us down once again this season. Johnson was knackered and uneffective, Vieira was needed to take some control off Scholes in the middle of the park. I would have left Ade on too, only reasoning I can give is that we were getting beat in the air so another one of our heros could come on and do something for us on the floor. Alas, Shauny Wright Wright Wright let us down when it mattered too!

Im gutted, but after the 1st 2 minutes I started to worry. Utd just looked far more assured and organised than we did today and the best team won IMHO.

I feel sick like most us you do, so much so I just went straight home switched my phone off & climbed into bed to get get away from the world!!! But Johnson didn't perform today, neither did Tevez nor Bellamy. I thought Adebayor had a good game but our MOTM was deffo De Jong, he was immense today.

Today just highlighted not just how far we have come as a team, but how far we still have to go as a team. Utd have an inbuilt superiority complex against most Premiership teams and especially us, and this mindset is something that has taken years for them to develop and they wont lose it overnight just the same way we wont acquire it overnight.

As I type this Spurs are winning 2-0 which is making my day worse, but considering that it was only 3 seasons ago that I was witnessing the worst City team and performances that I'd ever seen under Pearce, I'll comfort myself with the thought that we're still in the race for 4th place and a Champions League spot with 4 games left to play and Spurs have yet to come to our ground.

Keep the faith CTID
