I wonder who the club might have in mind with regards to replacing the homegrown quota. We aren't likely to have academy players ready in time to replace the likely outgoings of Rodwell, Richards and possibly Milner, in addition to Lescott and Barry who have gone already. Barkley is clearly one they may move for next summer, Ward-Prowse has potential. Wonder if there are any other players under the radar that they feel could come and make an impact. As for this summer in question I just can't see us signing anyone else other than Mangala. Even if we do shift those players, who is there who could come in and is English now Barkley has signed a new contract?

We surely would only be interested in a foreign acquisition if Garcia was also a player who moved on - then we would just about have room for another and Isco would be most likely on a loan deal. If we did get Isco on loan for 12months it would be good to see who out of him and Barkley had the better season and then decide who we may try for next summer. I can't help feeling that Chelsea, the Rags and possibly even Arsenal will look to spend huge sums for Barkley next summer and I don't think we would look to compete if costs spiralled.

As far as top English talent is concerned not too sure who we could be after especially if we are replacing existing English talent. Zaha seems to be as much use maybe as Sinclair.

Who would we get to replace Milner? Obvious ones for me would be Barkley or if a winger then Chamberlain or Walcott
Who would we get for Rodwell? I can't think much outside the above three or Wiltshire

Richards at Right back, that position is covered for a couple of years and one assumes someone from EDS will step up.

We already have Lopes out on loan for a season I suspect when he comes back next season would he not be able to fill that right hand side attack midfield.

One things for certain the foreign contingent is full so unless like for like replacement can't really see who we would bring in other than Isco on a loan and that has been debated to death.

As for Barkley who has signed new contract an large amount of money will be needed and as far as the Arsenal duo are concerned they would be 20m plus for each, unless we are looking at offloading Nastisic as part of any deal. From what I have read Arsenal want Nasty so they can flog Vermaelen to the rags. If eg we could get 16m for Nasty and Chamberlain or Walcott are priced mid twenties then I can see that might be achievable whether Arsene would play ball is another matter but with Sanchez arriving one or either are going to be sitting on the bench. Or maybe a Wiltshire.

Oh well all will be revealed in due time.
