I’m not sure what to make of all this. If Vinny got rid of Arnesen and brought in Vercauteren he could be strengthening his position. If the changes were made by Management this could be a sign the walls are closing in on Vinnie and that if results don’t improve soon him and Davies could be out the door.

My sentimental side wouldn’t mind seeing Vinnie back “home” at the Etihad being groomed much like Vieira was. He’s a clever guy and would do well on either the business or football side of the Club if he had the right mentors, such as Pep, Marwood, Begiristain or Ferrano.

Yet again, they are NOT firing Kompany this season. Management talked about a 3 year project to get back on top, they are not going to sack the man with the right vision after a couple of months.

Arnesen is sacked because we are trying to implement a modern scouting system. Arnesen was still to much an old school guy, and not that open to a more modern way of working.
Vercauteren and Kompany have a good band, so the combo Kompany-Vercauteren could be a good match. Davies obviously not the man to lead this team during games. With the charisma of librarian.

About Nasri. Looks like he is very engaged in the project, giving his all. And he also is getting better every week, and lost lots of pounds the past weeks. It might take a while, but he still can be of incredible value for this team in the Jupiler Pro League.

Sandler had a great start, but is missing Kompany next to him. Last game he had some painful turnovers.

It was a good game. Unbelievable VAR moment, with an obvious correct goal being overruled by an idiot in the VAR van.

Nasri, who was getting better and better pulled a muscle, and might be out for a month or more.

Chadli also getting better and better, and was really impressive yesterday. Just like our bigg talents Sambi Lokonga and Yari Verschaeren.

Playing with the same players every week is doing the team good. Al those injuries this season arent helping Vinny and his project.

Surely he has to have his badges or how can his title be player/manager? he is not the manager for games,it makes no sense,the whole idea is a romantic notion and not practical in any way imo
