Anderlecht Thread 2019/20

Always felt like an odd move when Davies joined Anderlecht in the first place. His reputation as a coach wasn’t exactly great at City.

But what a disaster of a game.

We deserved a 3-0 loss against the last team in the standings.

Sad to see, after the great first half last week against Club Brugge ...

A win's a win. A scruffy, scrappy, shitty little win at Haringey on Sunday would have been as good as the game where Edin scored four!

The vibe is quite good right now. We played good against Brugge.
Had a lucky win against the worst team in the league.
But played well last weekend against a Mouscron side that came for a draw.
We bought and loaned some promissing players in the winter transferwindow.

Lawrence, a 27 year old Jamaican leftback who played for New York. So we dont have to play Cobbaut on that position.
Pjaca, the croatian sensation winger of Juventus, who suffered some terrible injurys the past few years!
Joveljic, a Serbian striker, was a sensation with Red Star, but didnt get allot of chances with Freiburg in Germany.
And Murillo, a Panamese rightback who allready played some very good games. Also comming from New York.

Alexis Saelemaekers, one of our beter players this season was sold to Milan, because they really offered good money for this player. A real Neerpede product Who never was seen a bigg talent, but really playing good this season.

But we also are still having so much injuries.
Verschaeren, red devil and our best player last year.
Chadli, having a hard time getting game ready.
Nasri, reinjured some weeks ago.
Roofe, also injured again, and never seemed completely fit.
Sandler, rumour has it that he might not play any more this season.

Luckily Vinny is back again for the last 8 games. And thats still the most important mannto be on the pitch for this team.

The next to weeks will be important for the play off picture. We are 4 points out of the playoffs right now.
Friday we play against the strong Ghent side. And then we play against Mechelen, a team who also is going for that 6 th playoff spot.

The big game this Friday ended in a 1-1 draw, but we deserved the win here.

Our starting line up had an average age of 20,9 and 3 17 year olds.

Vinny wasn't in the squad duo to once again an injury. No news how serious it is.

Standout yesterday was Jéremy Doku, a 17 year old formed @ Anderlecht, and for years seen as a huge prospect.

Huge confidence boosting win for them, putting together a good run now they are getting back players from injury. Bottom of the league next week and then the team just below them in the league the following week. Real chance for them to put a good run together.
